Raad: Statement Determined By Majority

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad stated that the formation of the new government "surprised the sides that had been meddling with the country's future for the past few years."

"They didn't expect the new majority to form a cabinet, but they started being accustomed to it since the foreign powers apologized after assuring them that the government won't be formed so that they realized that they are incapable of thwarting its establishment," he added.
Stressing that "no one can boss this government around," MP continued we want to judge actions and not statements."

"The U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon had stated prior to the formation that the American administration would judge the cabinet based on its formation and policy statement," Raad remarked adding that "once it was formed however, US changed its position saying that it will assess it based on its actions," he said.

"This statement will only be as determined by the new majority, and that it is compatible," Raad pointed out.
"What is going on from the discussions do not delay the issuance of this statement." He added.
