The British Newspaper "The Sunday Times" revealed last Sunday that a planned attack to be launched last year against Iranian nuclear facilities was canceled after the Zionist PM Benjamin Netanyahu's plan faced a strong opposition from the enemy's army and the "Mossad".

According to the newspaper, the "Mossad" has warned that such an attack could lead to war in the entire Middle East, pointing out that the hot dialogue that took place "behind closed doors" has emerged to the surface after the former director of the Mossad; Meir Dagan has delivered his speech.

The newspaper added that Dagan said in a seminar at the University of Tel Aviv that "an attack on Iran would be a very stupid act, it is almost insane," adding that "we cannot trust Netanyahu."

The paper disclosed that the confrontation on the issue took place last summer when Netanyahu and his War Minister Ehud Barak summoned both Dagan and the Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi as well as the head of the so-called Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet) Yuval Diskin and Intelligence Military Chief Amos Yalden.

According to the "Times'" "informed source", Barak opened the meeting by saying "either now or never", in reference to an attack on Iran.

Netanyahu, according to the report, said that there is no doubt that Iran is seeking to build a nuclear reactor which is a "threat to the Jewish state."

The newspaper draws attention that none of the presence objected Netanyahu's assessment clarifying that Netanyahu and Barak called for the implementation of a raid against Iran to destroy its nuclear ability, saying that the meeting ended without reaching an agreement.

The "Times" reported that Ashkenazi said to one of his friends "No "Israeli" jet will move towards Iran as long as I am on the head of the army."
