Ayatollah Sayyed Khamenei: Islamic Awakening will Spread to the Heart of Europe

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic awakening in the Middle East and North Africa will spread to the "heart of Europe."

"European nations will rise against their politicians and rulers that have subjugated them to cultural and economic policies of the US and Zionists (Israelis)," said Ayatollah Khamenei.

His eminence made the remarks during a meeting with thousands of teachers on Wednesday on the occasion of the National Teachers' Day which was celebrated on May 2 - the day marking the martyrdom anniversary of distinguished Iranian thinker Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari. The Leader paid tribute to Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari, praising him for his great cultural and scientific works.

Ayatolla Khamenei also reiterated that the current Islamic Awakening in the Middle East and North Africa is the continuation of the great move by the Iranian nation.

"The current awakening reflects the depth of the great movement by the Iranian nation."
Sayyed Khamenei expressed confidence that the Islamic Republic would "conquer peaks of prosperity and progress" thanks to the strong faith and firm determination of the Iranian nation.
