Shokor: Resistance is the Only Project that Protects Lebanon

The Secretary General of the Baath Party in Lebanon and former Minister Fayez Shokor assured that the resistance is the fortified fortress and is the only project that protects Lebanon with its institutions, people and state. He reiterated the need to protect the resistance which liberated the land and protected Lebanon from "Israeli" aggressions.
Shokor slammed the 14 March attack on the resistance and its arms saying "There is a team in Lebanon concerned only with power and money, and all the speech of this team does not serve national interests but only increases the sectarian rift and discord."
Concerning the government, Shokor said that a government capable of resolving the economic and social woes as well as confronting foreign challenges should be formed quickly. He explained that the former opposition tried to waste time and to hamper the birth of a government.
Commenting on the Wikileaks cables, and the 14 March involvement against the resistance, Shokor called on the formation of a judiciary committee to investigate all those who were quoted in the Wikileaks cables and were proved to conspire against the resistance, especiallt that these cables are official documents issued by the US embassy.
