Hajj Hassan: Lebanon’s History in the Future to Be Written by the Resistance

Lebanese caretaker Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan considered that the path taken by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) and the investigation committee in their support to some Lebanese, will only lead to one result; for Lebanon to be more subject to mandate and international targeting.

In a speech he delivered, Hajj Hassan confirmed that this track is opposite to Lebanon's interests and those of the Lebanon, especially those adopting this track.
He clarified, "That is why, for us, it is unacceptable, and does not lead to the justice nor the truth, and it is our duty as Lebanon no to facilitate or support this track".

Minister Hajj Hassan pointed out that "Lebanon's history in the future will not be written but by the resistance".

On the political level, caretaker Agriculture Minister said that the other team is disrupting the country, not for the sake of justice or truth, but for the political exploitation of the brutal crime; Rafiq Hariri's assassination.

Hajj Hassan clarified the other team is exploiting the crime for internal, regional, and international goals.

He stated that they are talking about the tribunal that which would lead to justice and truth, while its investigation committee was not capable today of answering major question, but rather went silent after the media leaks concerning its investigations, false witnesses, and the four generals' arrest without any proof.
