The Turkish President Abdullah Gul affirmed that the relations between his country and Iran are to benefit both nations' interests, in addition to those of other countries in the region.

According to the IRIB website, Gul states, "The expansion of relations between Iran and Turkey is economic fields will promote the welfare of the two nations".

By the end of his four-day official visit to Iran, the Turkish President stressed that Turkey's ties with Iran have always reflected positive outcomes that he is willing to enhance.

President Abdullah Gul arrived in Tehran on Sunday night for his official visit that lasted four days, during which he met with top Iranian officials and discussed bilateral relations, also signed agreements on the economic, trade, and cultural levels.
