Jumblatt: Together with Miqati and Suleiman to Form ’’Centrist Bloc”, I Sense US-“Israeli” Sabotage Tactics
Head of the "National Struggle Front" MP Walid Jumblatt considered "The Syeian-Saudi initiative works as a starting point for the new government," noting that the battle is not easy. He pointed out the battle is open to all the US and Lebanese black chambers of the fancy Paris hotels as well as to the March 14 powers who cooperate among themselves in order to target the would-be government when they can.
In this context, Jumblatt stressed that it is necessary to protect the new government in light of PM Mikati's openness towards everyone. Jumblatt assured that the Resistance weaponry is essential for Lebanon, and necessary to protect the country from any "Israeli" aggression, questioning "How will we retrieve the Shebaa farms and Kafarshouba hills? How will we confront the "Israeli" aerial violations? And how will we protect the gas and oil riches the "Israeli" enemy has been trying to seize?"
"Miqati's government is not willing to terminate the international tribunal because no one, except for the Security Council, can terminate it," Jumblat said adding "But we need to work to prevent the negative repercussions of the (STL) indictment."
Jumblatt said both Suleiman and Miqati are seeking to form an "effective" government," contrary to rumors launched by March 14 forces and Marwan Hamadeh that say the Hizbullah-led March 8 coalition wants to change the government into a new security regime.
the PSP leader reiterated he will seek, together with Miqati and President Michel Suleiman, to form a "centrist bloc," but sensed sabotage tactics by the U.S. and the West, wondering "What kind of sabotage will the U.S. and the West carry out?"
Jumblat hailed Miqati as a "man of confidence." He also lauded Suleiman for his mediation effort.
