After Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay and Chile recognized Palestine as a Free State, Peru and Paraguay also followed this step into recognizing a Palestine State.

In this context, the Paraguayan Foreign Minister Hector Lacognata said in a statement on Friday, "The Republic of Paraguay expressly reiterates the recognition of this state as free and independent with the borders of June 4, 1967".

According to Reuters, Minister Lacognata clarified, "With the failure of negotiations between "Israel" and the Palestinian Authority, the recognition of Palestine within 1967 borders is fundamentally based on international rights as is seen repeatedly in the United Nations resolutions related to the issue".

On the other hand, Peru did not specify to what borders it recognizes Palestine, where the Peruvian Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde said, "Palestine is recognized as a free and sovereign state".

As Latin American countries are recognizing the "Free Palestinian state", the "Israeli" fears are escalating where they consider this as "highly damaging interference" by states that never took part in the Middle East peace process, Reuters reported.
