Lahoud Visitors Assure STL Politicized and Serves “Israeli” Project, Criticize Targeting the S-S Initiative
Head of the Kawluna wal Amal association (Say and Deed), Sheikh Ahmad Qattan assured that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is Politicized and aims at nailing down Lebanon and its people, pointing out that "In case it is not annulled, it will be the reason behind the collapse of Lebanon which serves "Israel's" interests."
Al Qattan, during his visit to the former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud stressed the significance of the Syrian-Saudi initiative and its success, wondering "Why is there a pessimist position from those left of the March 14, particularly Amine Jemayel and Samir Jaejae? Those do not want justice and truth; they rather want the STL to be the sword set against the resistance which represents Lebanon's strength and immunity."
Al Qattan strongly rejected the proposal of MP Boutros Harb, which bans the sale of properties between various religious sects under the pretext of preserving the Christian presence in Lebanon. He also stressed that Lebanon should start exploring its oil riches as soon as possible.
