In this context, Al-Akhbar sources mentioned that Saudi side is exerting a lot of efforts in this issue.
The sources added that PM Saad Hariri himself presented several measures to reconsider Lebanon's relation with its Special Tribunal, but on the other hand, called for keeping the conciliation till after the indictment's issuance.
Furthermore, Saad Hariri believes that the conciliation will not prevent the indictment's issuance, but will only contain any negative repercussions on the internal Lebanese situation.
The Lebanese daily mentioned that although the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's General Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare hasn't yet presented the indictment draft to the pre-trial judge, sources didn't exclude an extra postponement of the indictment in light of current discussions.
