President Michel Suleiman is scheduled on Tuesday to visit southern Lebanon where he will be visiting the military's fifth brigade and the base of the UNIFIL command.

Suleiman's major stop will be at al-Labbouneh where the Lebanese flag was raised in 2006 on the occasion of the army's deployment in the area after a 30-year absence. He will be accompanied by Army chief Gen. Jean Qahwaji and top officers.

As Safir newspaper said that Suleiman would stress "commitment to resolution 1701 with all its details and the importance of preventing any side that is hurt from stability from seeking to thwart Lebanon's commitment to international resolutions linked to the conflict with "Israel"."
