Lebanese Papers: New “Israeli” Espionage Devices Discovered , Three Spies Arrested

Ad-Diyar Lebanese daily mentioned on Monday that the Lebanese army intelligence uncovered new espionage devices in one of the important areas in Lebanon. The devices were dismantled three days ago. According to the paper, the newly discovered devices are of high technology, and are being dismantled carefully especially that these devices are new to telecoms and explosive devices experts.
These devices, the paper said, allow "Israel" to monitor the Bekaa valley and coastal areas from Sidon all the way to Jbeil.
Also, according to An-Nahar Lebanese daily,the Lebanese army intelligence arrested three suspected spies in the area of Tawmat Niha in the Shouf mountains.
The daily said Monday that the army dismantled the equipment in cooperation with Hizbullah. However, no official statement was made pending further investigation. On the suspected Mossad agents, An-Nahar said one of those arrested last week was from the Sheikh family and had recently arrived to Lebanon from Canada. He reportedly visits Lebanon frequently.
Earlier in the month, the army said it dismantled two espionage devices that "Israel" had placed on top of Mount Sannine, northeast of Beirut, and the Barouk Mountain, east of the capital.
