Head of Lebanese Democratic Gathering, MP Walid Jumblatt visited on Thursday Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri in Ein Al Tineh.
After the meeting, MP Jumblatt confirmed that his meeting to Berri came in light of recent discussions in several issues, especially the Syrian-Saudi efforts, and how to calibrate its path for what is best for Lebanon.
Furthermore, Jumblatt stated that both sides did not discuss Berri's initiative concerning the false witnesses' issue.
Head of Lebanese Democratic Gathering said that both parties tackled Saudi King's medical situation, where he left the hospital, in addition to the Syrian-Saudi efforts, and the students' alliance between Amal Movement and the Progressive Socialist Party in university elections.
Regarding the indictment, MP Jumblatt confirmed that all what is being aimed at is to prevent the indictment's negative repercussions, an aim also targeted by the Syrian-Saudi efforts.
MP Walid Jumblatt further hoped there won't be any reason behind a US urge for the indictment's issuance.
