Zionist Entity Refuses to Acknowledge Lebanon Right in Gas Fields, Launches Threats to Control Fields
The Zionist Entity refused to acknowledge Lebanon's Rights in the gas fields discovered in the Mediterranean Sea, on the maritime borders with the Occupied Palestine.
"Israeli" Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau told Agence France Presse "None of Lebanon's claims has any judicial, economic or cartographic basis. "Israel" will defend its interests with all necessary force in the face of all these threats."
Landau noted that the Tamar field (one of two promising gas finds) discovered off the northern port of Haifa -- contains around eight billion cubic meters (280 billion cubic feet) of natural gas, while the Leviathan field "could hold twice as much and cover "Israel's" consumption needs for 25 years."
He went on to say "Tel Aviv could become an exporter of gas to Europe. We are ready to cooperate in such a project with foreign investors but also with Greece and Cyprus."
As for the Turkey's latest stance on the issue, it reacted angrily to an "Israeli" deal with Cyprus that aims at demarcating an economic free zone, which according to the "Israeli" Minister is "a deal that clearly determines our (Israel's) rights in the Mediterranean.
