Hizbullah MP Ali Ammar assured that when Grand Imam Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei gives his opinion on the tribunal or any other international personality, he is giving his opinion on an international tribunal. If it were a Lebanese tribunal, then some could have said it is interference in Lebanese affairs. He called on the March 14 coalition to free themselves from the fist of strife in Lebanon.

Commentating on what Maronite patriarch Nasrallah Botros Sfeir said on a Hizbullah coup, Ammar said in a statement to OTV "If we answer back to any political stance that Patriarch Sfeir makes (whom we appreciate), we would be told that we are targeting certain sanctity. And if we remain silent, we would be criticized for that."

Ammar stressed that "The person who puts himself in the boxing ring would be punched the same way he is punching."

he hoped that Patriarch Sfeir recall Jesus Christ and his love, which should be the major component of the Lebanese structure.

Earlier on Tuesday, the United States said that Imam Khamenei "does not have the authority over the tribunal. It was convened by the United Nations."

The Supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution described as null and void any ruling by STL probing the 2005 assassination of former premier Rafiq Hariri.
