Lebanon Submits Official Complaint to UNSC over “Israeli” Spy Installations
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates submitted via its permanent representative in New York an official complaint to the United Nations Security Council over the "Israeli" spy installations which were found in the two separate areas near Beirut, Sanine and Barouk.
The system found on Sannine Mountain included a camera, a device to send images and a third to receive signals, while the device found in Barouk was much more complicated, including photographic equipment as well as laser and broadcast equipment.
The complaint assured that "Israel's" installation to the devices in the Lebanese territory constitutes a blatant breach to Lebanon's sovereignty, as well as to the international laws and regulations, not to mention the UNSCR 1701, which is an act that threatens international security and peace. The complaint also said that this breach constitutes an aggression against the Lebanese territory, and proves "Israel's" recklessness and unrestraint of UN resolutions.
The Lebanese Army said on Wednesday that it had uncovered two "Israeli" spy installations in mountainous areas near Beirut, owing to cooperation between the Lebanese Armed Forces and Hizbullah.
Photos of the installations, released on Thursday, show a device bearing the words "mini cloud" in Hebrew, along with the name of the manufacturer - "Beam Systems Israel Ltd." - in English.
