Iraqi FM: STL’s Indictment Could be Postponed

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said the Special Tribunal for Lebanon would most probably postpone the release of the indictment in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri's assassination case, "There is a tendency to postpone the release of the indictment because of (several) demands and probably Lebanese" demands."

However, the postponement would not be for long, he said. "For example, rather than being released this month, it (the indictment) would be released next month," Zebari told pan-Arab daily al-Hayat on Friday.

He further said "We are following in the developments related to this issue. We are also part of this equation, on the levels of the US-Iranian relations, the nuclear file, the situation in Lebanon, the STL and indictment, and the relation with Syria. We are also an important regional side and have direct contact with neighboring countries."
