Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) leader MP Michel Aoun said on Friday that talks to resolve the Lebanese crisis are still ongoing as long as the indictment is not issued yet, and considered that the "response will be as strong as the attack."

Aoun noted that "Delaying to resolve this file is faked and aims at causing damage, much more damage in comparison to damage that might be caused due to voting on it."

In an interview with Russia Today Channel, Aoun said that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the Lebanese government are partners in paralyzing the Lebanese judiciary and protecting the false witnesses," pointing out that "the STL does not have the authority to resolve the false witnesses issue, while the government eludes referring it to judiciary."

"If I were a PM...I would have referred the (false witnesses) file to the Lebanese judiciary, unless I am in compliance with the murder," Aoun said adding "PM Saad Hariri is cannot have a decision or word on referring the false witnesses' file because he takes part in the current conflict."
