Opposition ministers concluded a consultative meeting Tuesday evening after informing Premier Saad Hariri of a new suggestion for resolving the controversial false witnesses' issue.

The consultative meeting was held on the eve of a crucial cabinet session on Wednesday, which will be the first after a month of hiatus on the former PM Hariri assassination.

The meeting of Opposition ministers, which was held in Parliament, was attended by Hussein Khalil and MP Ali Hasan Khalil, the political advisors of Hizbullah SG Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Speaker Nabih Berri respectively.

After the consultations, MP Khalil told reporters that "There are ideas that are being discussed with the officials," noting that "Opposition ministers will attend tomorrow's cabinet session."

Simultaneously, the ministers reportedly informed the premier of a new suggestion for resolving the issue. However, the content of the proposal was not made public.

The opposition ministers assured that the false witnesses' issue should be resolved as soon as possible, noting that Lebanon has been living a tense situation and refusing any further stalling of this file.
