Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed Hizbullah categorically rejects the indictment by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).

"It is clear that the indictment will accuse Hizbullah members, which means the party itself. This indictment is categorically rejected because it has been forged from the very beginning. We will not wait for its issuance to take a stance; our position is that we reject it because it puts Lebanon in the cross hairs," Sheikh Naim said.

During the second night of the ceremony marking Ashoura at the Sayyed Al Shuhada complex, Sheikh Qassem said that Hizbullah hoped that "political rivals would have learned by now from their experience with the US."

Sheikh Qassem said "This resistance is in our minds, hearts, and blood. Those who want to take it away will have to do this by uprooting it from the minds and hearts of the believers; and this will never happen, God willing. We want justice to prevail, and we shall never stop working to serve justice as long as we breathe."

On another note, Deputy S.G. reviewed "the US Embassies Deals" in the cables that were exposed by the whistleblower website Wikileaks. He emphasized that Hizbullah did not comment on the cables because it will change nothing "Hizbullah said everything mentioned in the cables earlier, and people should know that the US still conspires against the resistance and uses all its capabilities to serve "Israel" and target the resistance."
