Speaker Berri: STL Investigations Don’t Serve the Truth, Justice

According to As-Safir newspaper, a high-ranked official source said that it is now available to look out the indictment after going through all newspapers' stories, which took parts in publishing the indictment's content.
The source added that when the indictment is issued, everyone will feel that they have read it before, considering that a Tribunal with so many leaks is never trust worthy.
On his part, Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri said that the Canadian CBC report falls in the line of pressure played to urge the issuance of the indictment.
Berri considered that the almost daily leaks from the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), only seek to accelerate the issuance of the indictment before all its paragraphs are published on media outlets.
The daily also referred that Berri explained to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyeb Erdogan during the latter's visit to Lebanon, the stages of STL crisis since it was established, and how the accusation was pointed first towards Syria, and then towards Hizbullah.
Speaker Nabih Berri believed that this path in investigations does not serve truth and justice.
Regarding the help Turkey is capable of giving in this context, Berri stated that what's importance now is to gain support to the Syrian-Saudi efforts into solving the crisis, considering the Turkish good relations with regional and international countries.
On the same level, Lebanese Speaker of Parliament pointed out that there is competitive race between the Syrian-Saudi efforts and the US-"Israeli" schemes, which on their part aim at sabotaging settlement.
