Telecoms Press Conference Reveals “Israeli” Violations

Lebanese Telecoms Minister Charbel Nahhas and head of the Telecoms Parliamentary Committee MP Hassan Fadlallah held a joint conference on Tuesday uncovering the "Israeli" violations to telecommunication sector in Lebanon.



MP Hasan Fadlallah, at the beginning of the conference, declared confidential documents and images are to be uncovered for the first time, which are prove to the "Israeli" violations of the telecoms network.

MP Fadlallah called on the Lebanese to work together to face "Israeli" threats to the telecom sector, as well as to the people's security and safety.

On his part, Charbel Nahhas reviewed what happened during the conference, which in its turn condemned the "Israeli" violation to the Lebanese Telecoms Network, assuring there is proof to the violations. 

Head of Telecommunications Technologies Unit Imad Hoballah presented during the joint press conference held in the Telecommunication Ministry, all the information over the situation of the telecommunication sector, and violations it's witnessing through the Zionist enemy.



Hoballah referred that the sector lacks safety measures and clear standards concerning how to deal with the companies, referring to the chaos in distributing passwords, in addition to the absence of the telecommunication sector's employees' power standards.

Imad Hoballah also added that there are some specialized companies that were breached by the "Israeli" enemy.

Concerning the "Israeli" methods of piracy, Hoballah said that towers that are supposed to conduct the act of piracy are installed on the borderlines, where they are ready to violate and plan.



Head of Telecommunications Technologies Unit added that the enemy installed "repeaters" that allow to drag information from the Lebanese telecommunication network to the inside of occupied Palestine.

Hoballah stated there are devices that were installed inside the networks, including copying cards and chips that identify the user. He also revealed that the enemy, before the year 2004, broke the Lebanese telecommunication codes that store the information.



Regarding the "Israeli" control of the telecommunication network, Hoballah said that "Israel" has reached a stage where it could make up calls, messages, change information and cancel some others.

On the "Israeli" espionage agent's role in this issue, Imad Hoballah said that their main role was in many aspects including providing the access codes and passwords.



Hoballah added that the operation which allows the access to the network in done through many ways, some of is through the support center, violating a protection device, the internet network, command towers, through an agent, or through external or microwave links.
