Alan Aoun: Power Countries Exploit STL to Demolish the Resistance

Change and Reform Bloc member Alan Aoun expressed his fear of turning justice from an aim into an attempt of US pressure for a regional confrontation. Aoun confirmed that all the Lebanese want to know the truth behind former PM Rafiq Hariri's assassination.

In an interview, Alan Aoun considered that what is needed today is an agreement between all the Lebanese parties on one united stance in dealing with the indictment to prevent conflict.

Aoun added that the Lebanese should take into consideration that some power countries are working on exploiting the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) in order to demolish the state of resistance presented by Hizbullah against "Israel", after their attempts failed in July 2006 war.

Change and Reform Bloc member also confirmed that the false witnesses issue is an important issue which will help in revealing the truth.

On another hand, Alan Aoun wondered how the other team could ask from Hizbullah to trust the STL in light of all these flaws in its course of investigations, and on their part they don't want to transfer the false witnesses issue to the Justice Council.
