Jumblatt: Syrian-Saudi Effort Can Delay or Disable Effects of STL Indictment on Internal Atmosphere

The Head of the "Democratic Gathering", MP Walid Jumblatt stressed the importance of the Syrian-Saudi effort, "which can delay or disable the effects of the (Special Tribunal for Lebanon - STL) indictment on the internal atmosphere.

"The principal of the issuing the indictment is no longer under control in light of the outside insistence to use it as a means of pressure on the resistance, Syria, and Iran," Jumblatt told As-safir newspaper. 

He added that "The major countries are indifferent about the Lebanon's stability especially when their interests are concerned...We are bargaining on the wisdom of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and President Bashar Assad."

Jumblatt pointed out that the STL has become part of the West's means to pressure the axis of resistance in order to pass "The accumulation of the settlement process at the expense of the minimum right of the Palestinian people."
