Alan Aoun: Saudi-Syrian Talks, Last Chance for Lebanese’s Crisis Solution

Change and Reform Parliamentary Bloc Member Alan Aoun described General Michel Aoun's visit to France as "successful at all levels", referring that General Aoun wanted to explain his point of view of what is occurring in Lebanon.

In an interview with intiqad.net, MP Alan Aoun referred that despite the fact that France is concerned with the Lebanese people and Lebanon's interests; there should be any debate over France's stance regarding Lebanon.

Alan Aoun stated that General Michel Aoun held discussions with French officials over the issues of Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the indictment, where the French party did not present any initiative for solving this issue.

On the level of Saudi-Syrian discussions set to reach a settlement concerning the Lebanese internal crisis, Change and Reform Bloc MP said that there is an initiative aiming at reaching a solution for the expected indictment, yet it is met with efforts led by the US, that aim at speeding up the indictment's issuance.

On this level, MP Aoun believed that talks between Riyadh and Damascus could have positive results, describing it as the last chance for the Lebanese to get out of the crisis before the indictment's issuance.
