Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri confirmed that what's needed is to implement the Taef Accord in all its articles, adding that Lebanon has no value if political sectarianism is not canceled.
In an interview with Annahar newspaper, Berri boosted Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's relying on the Syrian-Saudi efforts, referring to his concerns of postponing the false witnesses file in the ministerial council meeting.
Speaker Berri affirmed that his objection was on discussions over transferring the false witnesses issue to a parliamentarian commission, wondering how an issue could be transferred from the judiciary experts to the parliament.
On another hand, Berri expressed that the Lebanese are drowned in sectarianism that is demolishing everything in the country, starting with ministries and other Lebanese institutions.
Speaker of Parliament called upon fighting sectarianism in order to prevent further Lebanese immigrations and calm down the domestic situation.
