The Swiss Police announced that it arrested three people who previously declared their attempt to burn a copy of the Holy Quran, and another of the Bible in front of the Swiss Cabinet headquarter in the Swiss Capital of Bern.

The Swiss police further referred that the three arrestees were driven to investigation after the arrest.

In an interview with Agence France-Presse (French News Agency), Swiss Police spokesperson Florie Marion clarified that two of the arrestees are Swiss, while the other is Indian.

The Swiss spokesperson added that the Swiss police were warned by some media outlets that some people are willing to burn copies of holy books in the Federal square Friday night.

During investigations with the police, one of the suspects confessed his and his companion's attempt to burn a copy of the Holy Quran and the Bible.

According to him, they chose to conduct their crime in the Federal Square in order to attract the media's attention.
