Sources to As-Safir: UNSC to Discuss STL File

As-Safir newspaper was informed that the UN Security Council (UNSC) will be discussing on Friday what the Americans called, "continuous threats" of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's (STL) work.
According to UNSC sources, discussing the STL issue will be held at the same time under another portfolio, where it comes as a kind of diplomatic settlement so it won't be said that the council specialized a meeting for the STL issue.
The newspaper added, referring to the same source, that any member has the right to present any issue within a discussion of any portfolio, yet that does not mean that a meeting was held for the STL issue and Lebanon in precise.
In the same context, As-Safir newspaper referred that an ambassador of a UNSC member country was careful enough to express his country's stance, saying that they would support Lebanon, and will be coordinating with the Lebanese UN ambassador Nawwaf Salam.
