Local Editor
Lebanese Minister of Telecommunication Charbel Nahhas confirmed that "Israel" is controlling all telecommunication units in Lebanon, where it has been proved that it has violated the telecommunication sector, which assures the importance of investigating espionage agents as soon as possible.
In a TV interview, Nahhas considered that "Israel" is capable of technically violating the telecommunication network, adding that when "Israel" is capable of doing something, it will always intend on doing it.
Whether the Telecommunication Ministry will continue its cooperation with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), Nahhas referred that their cooperation will only be of an official request, and only regarding information related to suspects of PM Rafiq Hariri's assassination.
Minister Charbel Nahhas believed that investigating "Israeli" agents should lead to credible results to know whether they would help in the STL investigations.
In this context, Nahhas referred that if a stance regarding the STL should be discussed, then the government should relate to the issues of false witnesses and the telecommunication data.
