Jumblatt: US Adhering to International Tribunal and Its Political Indictment will Spread Strife in the Region

Head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt warned of a scheme that aims at sabotaging Syrian-Saudi relations, especially after what Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman said about the Syrian and Saudi leaderships. 

Feltman had also warned that Washington's allies in Lebanon will collapse if the current Saudi attitude with Lebanese PM Saad Hariri continues. 

In the same context, and after viewing the content of the UN Security Council session that was held on Thursday on full execution of resolution 1559, Jumblatt said that "The American policy in the region has a major aim which is to sow division."

According to As-Safir newspaper, Jumblatt warned that this policy will lead to sowing strife in the entire region, which is proved by holding onto the STL and its political indictment, regardless of its effect and outcome on stability in Lebanon."
