Sheikh Qassem: Tackling False Witnesses Issue, Priority to Protect Lebanon

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that tackling the false witnesses issue is a priority protecting Lebanon from the international brutal accusations.

Sheikh Qassem considered that the solution starts in Lebanon, through cooperation between responsible authorities, adding that political solutions for the Palestinian issue are not possible, and that the "Israeli" scheme is dangerous where no side could defeat it but the Palestinian peoples, their resistance and sacrifices.

Sheikh Qassem received Head of Lebanese Tawhid Movement former Minister Wiam Wahhab, where both sides discussed latest updates and developments on the local, regional, and international level.

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General stressed that the stability of the country is a major issue, adding, "As Hizbullah and the opposition, we are concerned with enhancing the path of the national unity".

On his part, former Minister Wahhab believed that the false witnesses issue in the key to many problems, and despite postponing it in the ministerial council, it will remain a major issue, and the opposition will further stress on discussing it and adopting suitable measures.

Wahhab further added that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is political, the indictment is political as well, and what's needed then is a political solution, since initially, the decision to establish the STL was political, and all its targets were political.
