Ministerial Council Focuses on False Witnesses Issue during Meeting

The Ministerial Council held its regular meeting on Wednesday 5:30 pm in the Baabda Palace, headed by Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, and in presence of Lebanese PM Saad Hariri.
The meeting mainly discussed the false witnesses issue and its latest updates, especially concerning transferring the authority over this issue to the Justice council
Prior to the meeting, a private meeting took place between the President and the PM, in which both sides discussed latest updates.
On his part, Minister of Public Health, Mohammad Jawad Khalifeh clarified that the opposition ministers stress on the importance of transferring the issue to the Justice Council.
On the other hand, Minister of State for Administrative Reforms Mohammad Fneish expressed that if it were needed is to give more time for the false witnesses' issue, in order to discuss and study it, then the opposition ministers will not object, under the condition of reaching a resolution eventually.
The false witnesses issue has been representing a major headline of the Lebanese news, yet so far no serious action has been adopted concerning this matter.
