Jumblatt: False Witnesses Issue Should be Resolved Quickly

Head of the Democratic gathering, MP Walid Jumblatt, refused to express in details his stance regarding transferring the false witnesses file to the judicial council.

In an interview with As-Safir newspaper, Jumblatt said that he is mainly aiming at calming the situation in Lebanon, in addition to agreement, where he considered that a solution could be found.

Walid Jumblatt told Al Akhbar newspaper that the false witnesses issue should be resolves, stressing on the importance of wrapping up this issue without erupting any further conflicts over it.

Concerning Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar's report, Head of the Democratic Gathering referred to it as good, adding that the current situation requires an immediate meeting between Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
