Jumblatt Meets with Syrian Ambassador, Agrees Upon Arrest Warrants

Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim confirmed that the arrest warrants issued by the Syria Prosecutor for some Lebanon, Arab, and international figures, are strictly judicial, and therefore have no effect on the bilateral Lebanese-Syrian relations.
After his visit to Head of Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt, Syrian Ambassador said that Lebanese PM Saad Hariri is aware that bilateral relations and talks will continue despite the arrest warrants, hoping that Lebanese leaders would come to an understanding in all their issues.
Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim considered that what MP Walid Jumblatt about the importance of pursuing the false witnesses and following up their issue, in addition to the internal dialogue, are the most important to prevent incitement in Lebanon.
On his part, Head of Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt said that he notices Syria's concern in maintaining Lebanon's stability and dialogue, in order to prevent incitements.
MP Walid Jumblatt also confirmed that there is not problem related to the Syrian arrest warrants, which one is issued for a member of the Democratic Gather Bloc, adding that the judiciary took over the false witnesses' issue.
