Top German MP Slams “Israel” for Resumption of Settlement Activities

The head of the parliamentary faction of the Left party (Die Linke) Gregor Gysi here Monday lashed out at "Israel's" resumption of settlement activities in the West Bank, saying it was seriously jeopardizing the fragile Middle East peace process.
The "Israeli" government has lost any credibility by continuing the settlement construction, the opposition MP was quoted saying in a press statement.
He accused the "Israeli" state of "robbing" Palestinian land by extending the settlements.
The 10-month building freeze imposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the West Bank officially ended at midnight Sunday followed by celebrations of "Israeli" settlers and instant resumption of settlement activities.
