Lebanese Former Prime Minister Omar Karami considered that the internal Lebanese tension is a result of resolution 1559 and its international repercussions since the year 2004 and until today.
Karami further added that the resolution aims at eliminating the resistance in Lebanon, and what the enemy couldn't conduct through war, it's trying to accomplish through sectarian and doctrinal incitement.

In an interview with As-Safir newspaper, Karami referred that the internal tension details could illustrate more than one title and one reason, warning of the danger of the offensive which Hizbullah has been facing for years.

Karami said, "It's Hizbullah's right to protect itself", adding that if some of Hizbullah's rivals consider that they were targeted by any of Hizbullah's members of parliament, then they should know that Hizbullah is being targeted at a higher level, which explains its tension and rigidity along with its followers.

Karami confirmed that the quarrel will continue till the end between two different parties in Lebanon, adding that the worst is yet to come, especially if the indictment was decided, practically by the US, between October and December, representing a political control against Hizbullah and Syria.
