Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem revealed that Hizbullah, so far, has not adopted its final stance regarding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), announcing that Hizbullah is waiting for the results of the Arab efforts, especially the Saudi, in light of the Saudi-Syrian-Lebanese trilateral summit.
These efforts aim at finding solutions that are far from politicizing the tribunal or far from any indictment, wondering whether the Saudi efforts would lead anywhere.
"Now we are in a trial to decide what we would do according to what they would do. According to the results, we will adopt a strict stance, knowing that we are very cautious concerning the STL's track", Sheikh Qassem affirmed.
In an interview with Al Rai Kuwaiti newspaper, Sheikh Qassem stressed that Hizbullah's project is very clear, which is constructing governmental institutions on the basis of cooperation and partnership, and not on the basis of favoritism.
He also referred that there are issues that need to be treated, one of which is the STL and accusing "Israel", where along with the false witnesses issue, would lead to revealing the truth.
Sheikh Qassem referred to the recent sectarian incitation that has been occurring, which also stands for deteriorating the logical and objective image in front of the public opinion.
Concerning Hizbullah's attempt in Beirut International airport when Jamil Al Sayyed returned to Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem clarified that was happened in the airport was a very natural behavior by Hizbullah.
His Eminence added that the number of high ranked officials and politicians present in the airport then was high, where each figure has its bodyguards and escorting delegations.
"What happened was to express our solidarity with General Al Sayyed, and our refusal to being assaulted by judiciary exploitation", Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General added.
