Sheikh Qaouk Meets ICRC Delegation, Demands Lebanon’s Right to Cluster Bomb Maps

Hizbullah Official in South Lebanon, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk received in his office in Tyr, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation to Lebanon, George Comninos, where both sides discussed issues concerning detainees, cluster bombs spread all over the villages of the South area, resulted by the July 2006 "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon.
Sheikh Qaouk repeatedly demanded Lebanon's right to all maps available with the Zionist entity, which locate where the cluster bombs were thrown in order to start removing them.
Hizbullah official added that "Israel" is still refusing to hand in these maps, as well as refusing to join the International Convention for Prohibiting the use of Cluster Munitions, which reveals its aggressive policy towards Lebanese innocent civilians, at the time where Lebanese rushed to join this convention.
Sheikh Nabil Qaouk urged the ICRC to follow up intensively with the issue of missing detainees in the "Israeli" prisons, for what it resembles of ethical and humane dimensions.
On his behalf, Comninos praised efforts exerted by Lebanese, to work on removing all mines and cluster bombs, where Lebanon has achieved a great deal on this level, also commended the positive relation and constant cooperation between Hizbulla and the ICRC.
