Jamil Al Sayyed: Judge Francine’s Step in Investigations, First Step towards Achieving Justice

Former Director General of the Public Security, Jamil Al Sayyed, confirmed that the decision by the pre-trial judge of the International Tribunal, Daniel Francine, in which he states Al Sayyed's right to look over some evidences in former PM Rafiq Hariri's assassination, as the first step towards achieving justice.
In an interview with Sawt Al Mada radio, Al Sayyed clarified that the first decision has been sentences, and there is a period of twenty days to answer all of Judge Francine's questions over their view, in addition to their right to appeal.
Al Sayyed considered that the International Tribunal's decision to hand in evidences is a big setback to the party which is trying to wipe evidences in Hariri's assassination.
General Al Sayyed wondered how ten false witnesses could escape through Head of information branch, General Wissam Hassan, and ISF Chief Ashraf Rifi, and other, while they didn't notice anything.
On another level, General Al Sayyed referred that it is the people's right to demand an international tribunal, especially those who lost people in the process.
Al Sayyed considered that the equation is not between justice and stability, but is in fact between False Witnesses and stability, and he believes it's shameful to trade between justice and stability.
Concerning the arrest warrant sentenced by Judge Saed Mirza, Al Sayyed clarified that he has not seen anything, and he is coming back to Lebanon in the natural time and he does not care whether he is arrested or not.
General Al Sayyed said that a judicial arrest warrant should have a prosecutor, which here was played by the Justice Minister, although he doesn't have the right to this role.
