Rahhal: False Witnesses Prosecution, Important Key for Lebanon’s Stability

Hizbullah Head of Cyber Unit Dr. Hussein Rahhal, confirmed that many people of those defending false witnesses want to escape from the whole issue, as if some of them fear of something if this issue was examined.
Dr. Rahhal added that when there is a crime, the criminal is usually sentences to penalty, then why would anyone defend him?
In an interview with Sawt Al Mada Radio, Rahhal said that Jamil Assayyed is one of the victims of this issue, where there is a crime committed against him and against the four officers. Dr. Rahhal added that Lebanon should deal with Assayyed like he is a victim of this issue, and listen to what he has to say and all the sighs he has after four and a half years of abusing imprisonment.
Dr. Rahhal stressed that there is an abusing political system, which has been built on forging and misleading during the previous time period, illustrated by the abusing arrest, with an attempt to control the country. Dr. Rahhal said, "Now there are steps preparing for committing a third crime against a third side", with reference to the resistance.
Head of Hizbullah Cyber Unit clarified that the false witness did not present himself on his own, or because of some personal problem, but in fact there is a political scheme trying to plan another crime against the resistance.
Rahhal added that the problem is when listening to General Assayed talking about the government; it is shown that the figures of this country are his enemies, the ones who put him in prison.
In this context, Dr. Rahhal referred that the solution would be through getting back to constitutional associations to make it done, referring that General Michel Aoun spoke about this issue, and in the same intensity as other issues related to the legitimacy of other governmental organizations.
Dr. Rahhal stressed that some judicial figures' role in the government is to represent a ruler, affirming that the Ministerial Council should have a firm stance, calling for seriousness and transparency in dealing with these matters.
Answering a question, Dr. Rahhal said that the only key to reach the truth is to commit to duties as a Ministerial Council or governmental organizations in dealing with this crime, in addition to controlling the situation, sentencing those responsible, revealing those who fabricated false witnesses.

Dr. Hussein Rahhal reminded that false witnesses worsened the relations between Lebanon and Syria, leading to sectarian instability, which resulted in several Syrian victims, wondering whether it's possible to drop this issue, at a time when false witnesses are being praised instead of being punished for their crimes.
Dr. Rahhal also added that it is every Lebanese's right to look with suspicion at all sides defending false witnesses.
Concerning Hizbullah's stances regarding the latest French stance over the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), in contributing in replaying the assassination of former PM Rafiq Hariri, Dr. Rahhal did not comment on this issue, referring that the Lebanese government has some responsibilities regarding this issue, starting by providing Lebanon's sovereignty instead of giving it to others.
