Terry Jones, Pastor of the Florida-based Dove World Outreach Center church has decided to cancel his plan to burn the holy Quran on Thursday.

The plan had drawn fierce international criticism, as upon announcement, the blasphemous plan to torch the Holy Quran drew domestic and international condemnation.
Jones announced on Thursday that "we have agreed to cancel our event on Saturday," ABC reported.

Jones said his decision came after he reached a deal with the leader of the proposed Ground Zero Islamic cultural center and mosque, to move the facility.

Imam Muhammad Musri reported assured Jones that the controversial mosque project will be relocated and he wanted Jones not to go ahead with his Quran burning plan in return.
However, SoHo Properties, the developer of the community center that is being called the Ground Zero Mosque, denied the report.

According to sources, only hours after Jones called off the "Burn a Quran Day" plan, he backtracked and said he would reconsider his decision, claiming that a Muslim leader had lied to him.

The Quran burning plan was scheduled for the anniversary of 9/11 terror attacks.
