Jumblatt: Taef, S.S. Theory, Based on Army, People, Resistance Correlation
Head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt believed that PM Saad Hariri is totally convinced of the personal relation with the Syrian President and of the political relation with Syria.
MP Jumblatt said, "This takes us back to the Saudi-Syrian theory and the Taef accord, which some Lebanese are trying to forget. Saudi Arabia, President Hafez Assad, and PM Rafik Hariri are the ones who established the Taef among fixed rules that we are all aware of, like peace, correlation of tracks, liberation of Shibaa Farms, and the national dialogue based on the joint path of the army, people, and resistance. This is the framework we have drawn and took."
In an interview with Al Akhbar newspaper, Head of the Progressive Socialist Party added, "We are back on the right track. Even though we get lost in the details, like the Burj Abi Haidar incident, we have to commit to the fixed rules."
"My role is to remind everyone of these stances, and Hariri is pleased with his personal relation (with President Assad). However, we should translate it, and here I reminded of the headlines, and we should not expect to reach an inclusive solution in the region," Walid Jumblatt added.
