Dr. Rahhal: Hariri’s Recognition that False Witnesses Misled Investigations, Forms Joint Investigation Basis

Head of Hizbullah Electronic Media Unit Dr. Hussein Rahhal assured that Hizbullah, as a political side, has always sought pacification.
"We have been the first to call for it, however, sometimes we were forced to respond, defend ourselves, and reveal the truth," he added.
Regarding the Burj Abi Haidar clashes and pacification between PM Saad Hariri and Hizbullah, Rahhal assured, "The other side turned the page over those events and we will do the same." He clarified, "There are still some political and social files that we did not pass over, like the false witnesses and the international tribunal; however, the pacification path makes its discussion possible."
Rahhal indicated that Hizbullah did not use its ultimate force on ground so that it would not provoke. Furthermore, he clarified that Hizbullah is presenting concessions in this field for the sake of stability and pacification in the country.
In an interview with OTV, Rahhal considered that PM Hariri's recognition that there are false witnesses who misled the investigations is a good step that would form common basis between us. He emphasized, "Statements about the issue are not enough. This case should rather be completed until reaching the people or forces behind the false witnesses and prosecuting them."
On the regional level, Head of Hizbullah Electronic Media Unit assured that the direct negotiations between the enemy and the Palestinian authority is a critical issue, indicating that both sides are not convinced with negotiations, these were rather enforced on them.
Moreover, Rahhal considered, "Despite going into negotiations, the enemy is proceeding in its policy of the Judaization of AL Quds (Jerusalem), in addition to the violation of the West Bank and the Palestinian territories."
"The enemy also rejected negotiating on Al Quds (Jerusalem) and persists in denying the Palestinian's right to return." He added.
Rahhal believed that the stances issued praising the negotiations do not portray the Lebanese government's stance, saying, "As the president said, they are personal stances."
