Iran Fully Prepared to Equip Lebanese Army

As the US has froze its funds which it was planning at sending to the Lebanese army for armament, Iranian Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi (Wahidi) assured that Iran is fully prepared to provide the Lebanese army with highly developed military equipments.
"Lebanon is our friend. If we receive any demand for equipping their army, we have full potential to help them", Iranian Minister of Defense was quoted Wednesday by Fars news agency.
The US freezing of funds came as a result of border clashes between "Israeli" troops and the Lebanese army, after which Lebanese President Michel Suleiman asked Iranian officials for some armament trade to equip the army.
On the other hand, Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah also urged Tuesday Lebanon to consider arm deal with Iran, saying that this issue would be discussed in the upcoming visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Lebanon.
