Lebanese Transport Minister Ghazi Aridi, ignored "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak's latest threats, that the "Israeli" enemy would stop the Lebanese Gaza-bound aid ship "Mariam".

In an interview with AFP, Aridi said, "We will not respond to the wished or requests of Barak, and what he says is of little relevance to us", adding that Lebanon will continue exercising its sovereignty, and making its own decision.

Earlier Friday, Zionist War Minister said, "We will intercept Lebanese ships heading to Gaza", stating that they would use force if needed against the Gaza-bound Lebanese "Mariam" ship.

Ehud Barak also took liberty in urging the Lebanese government to prevent any ship to head towards the besieged territories, contacting several countries to pressure on the Lebanese decision.

Despite all that, Ghazi Aridi gave approval to the ship to set sail Sunday Night.

"Mariam" aid ship is scheduled to set sail Saturday night to Gaza, where its participants consist of 60 women from Lebanon, Europe, and the US, strictly aiming at delivering medical and humanitarian supplies to the impoverished area.
