MP Hussein Moussawi: Resistance’s Potentials and Preparations in Progress, Army Rejected American Projects
Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary Bloc MP Hussein Al Moussawi congratulated the Lebanese for the coming of the Holy Month of Ramadan, and for the resistance's 14th of August victory over America and the Zionists, pointing out that July 2006 war was declared by the U.S. and executed by "Israel".
"This was the day of the Zionist powers' break down. Several American officials announced on the first week of the war that they will be recasting the Middle East and transforming it into a new one. However, the first week went by, so did the second, third, and forth, but ineffectively; and the resistance and its people stayed firm," MP Moussawi said.
In an interview with Alintiqad electronic newspaper, MP Moussawi questioned, "What did the Americans and "Israelis" have back then and did not use?"
He pointed out, "They used all kinds of weapons, from shells to missiles," indicating that, "the resistance's potentials and preparations in 2006 were far less than its potentials today. Therefore, we tell them that their threats are useless."
Moussawi commented on the "Israeli" threats saying, "They either wage a psychological war, or prepare themselves for a new aggression against Lebanon which they will be losing, because the resistance's capabilities, and military and security potentials' developments are much greater than the Zionist capabilities' developments.
As for arming the Lebanese army and the US intimidation on cutting its "great" supplies that do not exceed $100 million to it, MP Moussawi assured that the Lebanese army proved its resistance to American projects aiming at changing its doctrines.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the latest conflict in south revealed that despite the U.S. aids for the Lebanese army, the latter did not act in the interest of the United states or for applying its goals.
He reassured that the army's ideology is constant and firm, indicating that the US and its supporters lack the ability of affecting it, especially in what relates to "Israel" being an enemy.
Moussawi pointed out that any Lebanese immigrant investor could replace the amount the U.S. used to send as aid to the Lebanese army, adding, "In the coming few days we will be seeing larger amounts of financial support to the army."
