Two weeks after the "Israeli" aggression against Lebanese soldiers, Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Murr announced Saturday establishing a bank account special for donations to help develop the poorly-equipped Lebanese army.

While attending a military maneuver, Murr said, "I announce the launching of a fund to support and equip the army," revealing that the Cabinet will soon be discussing a draft concerning armament for a 3-year-plan.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), the Defense Minister and former Defense Minister Michel Murr deposited almost $670,000 in a bank account for the Lebanese army funding.

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman had previously announced launching a national, Arab and international campaign for help and support equip the Lebanese army, allowing it to defend the country.
