Bellemare Requests Hizbullah SG Evidences, Demands Submissions

In response to Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's exceptional press conference, in which he accused "Israel" of taking part in former PM Rafiq Hariri's assassination, the Special Tribunal General Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare demanded submission of data and evidences presented by Sayyed Nasrallah.
The official statement released by the Special Tribunal read, "In line with its mandate, the Office of the Prosecutor has requested the Lebanese authorities to provide all the information in possession of Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah".
The statement further specified, "This request includes the video material that was shown on television during the press conference, as well any other material that would be of assistance of the Office of the Prosecutor in unveiling the truth".
"Away from the spotlight, the Office of the Prosecutor is pursuing its investigation according to the highest standards of international justice, in a neutral and objective way. The Office of Prosecutor is led by the evidence and nothing else", the statement said.
