Al Akhbar: Arrest of Major Officer in Lebanese Army Suspected of Spying for "Israel"

The intelligence section in the Lebanese army arrested a few days ago a major officer in the Lebanese army, and has been interrogating with him upon suspicion of dealing with the "Israeli" enemy, Lebanese Al Akhbar newspaper quoted highly informed sources saying.

The sources added that this case was kept secret for several reasons, including its synchronization with the preparations for the Army holiday; in addition, so that investigations would take place away from blabbering.

The sources pointed out that recently arrested Ogero employee Milad E. is being specifically interrogated due to his sensitive position, while several suspects have escaped Lebanon.
