Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Tuesday condemned the "Israeli" aggression in southern Lebanon which he said should be in the care of the U.N.

He said the "Israeli" violation in Adeisseh was in contravention of Security Council resolution 1701 which the U.N. is keen on implementing.

Army chief Gen. Jean Qahwaji informed Suleiman about the details of the "Israeli" violation and stressed the need to confront any "Israeli" attempt to carry out an aggression.

Lebanese President contacted Lebanese Foreign Minister Ali Al Shami, and asked him to take the required procedures with international and diplomatic parties concerned about the issue.
